Established in 1998 the Drakenstein Lion Park provides distressed lions with sanctuary so that they can live in a safe abuse free environment. At the sanctuary we strive to treat these lions with the respect and compassion they deserve.
Drakenstein Lion Park has the largest amount of lions in the Western Cape including beautiful rare white lions.
Enjoy an overnight experience and sleep in one of our tents in the Ingonyama Tented Camp.
Affordable accommodation includes a traditional South African braai for dinner and a continental breakfast, served in our rustic lapa.
Our tented camp is surrounded by lions for a once in a lifetime experience. Each tent has place to sleep for two people. One of our tents caters for four people. Each tent has its own private bathroom.
Only 30 minutes drive from Cape Town. Situated in the scenic Cape Winelands.
